HOUSE OF PURE ALOHA
PACKAGING CONCEPTS

> CONSULTING <

House of Pure Aloha, better known in Hawai’i as HOPA (ho-pah), is a generational shave ice/snow cone shop started by local philanthropist Uncle Clay and his nephew Bronson. I was tasked with prototyping designs for the packaging of a product yet to be launched.

HOPA’s would take on a reconstruction of the famous ice cream sandwich by combining locally sourced ingredients with classic flavors. Rather than using a cookie for the outer layers, HOPA would use the malasada, a sweet and fluffy Portuguese pastry. HOPA’s vision for the product was to act as a culinary bridge between generations, ages, and ethnicities.
